Krinkle Spills w/ Surface Sampling® is a comprehensive mobile app (iOS & Android) and reporting system for spill projects needing daily work reporting to your client, sampling of surface soil, receptor identification (i.e., groundwater, wildlife affected, etc.), and more!
Krinkle Spills w/ Surface Sampling® helps guide field workers through collecting the vital information associated with spills at well sites, tank batteries, residential and commercial locations, and more. Our system allows your company to add the governing agency and their allowable ground chemistry limits (i.e., BTEX, individual allowable xylene limit, etc.), which are required for that project. Then, as your crew establishes its sample points and grabs their surface samples, the software guides the user through each process step. This includes auto-tracking and auto-naming the sample points required to label and the naming convention of each surface sample. Additionally, it guides the user in collecting the required field chemistry results.

Comprehensive Recordkeeping, Simplified
Beyond the view of a single project, the system allows a company to manage all of its projects companywide. This is because Krinkle Spills w/ Surface Sampling® acts as a smart, multi-project file cabinet. It allows its users to look up and review, right on their mobile device, all projects, sample points, and surface samples in an easy-to-view method. The system can even translate the lab limits (e.g., BTEX) and compare them to your field data (e.g., xylenes) to tell them when their field data correlates to lab limits. This helps field workers know when to stop sampling and wait for the official lab data.

The Daily Spill Record & Report
In addition to Krinkle Spills w/ Surface Sampling®’s ability to guide and track the entire history of an ongoing spill project, clients also like to know what you did each day at their project site. It keeps them informed daily when you visit their locations in a highly professional and “proof-of-work” manner. Krinkle Daily Spill Record® allows you to report your work each day, including travel times, times on-site, tagged photos relevant to that day’s work, field notes, and recommendations. In addition, when your daily spill record form is used on any day in which surface sampling and chemistry testing are performed, Krinkle Spills w/ Surface Sampling® will automatically fill in a section of that report with that surface sampling data. In other words, the section of the comprehensive project report accomplished on that day is automatically placed into the daily report. Finally, all reports can be run in Excel, Word, or PDF format.

Krinkle Spills w/ Surface Sampling® guides environmental specialists through recording spill details and estimating a spill's released volume, recovered volume, impacted area, and more. Record spill receptors easily and quickly assess receptor locations and impacts straight from your mobile device. These records are supported with "proof-of-work" elements, including GPS position (from your mobile device or an external GPS) and photographs. In addition, all photos are dated, time and GPS-stamped. Receptors, spill details, surface soil samples, and more can all be reported at the touch of a button in several professional reports that any client would appreciate. The system guides environmental specialists through recording details on spills, site spill visits, surface sample chemistry (composite or discreet), and more. Additionally, Krinkle Spills w/ Surface Sampling® includes auto-naming for labeling sample containers, eliminating incorrect or redundant labeling.

Google Earth & ESRI Compatibility
All sample point data, including sample point images and other project data, are fully integrated to Google Earth for easy viewing and .KMZ file sharing (which can be easily converted to ESRI files). Simply by pressing a button, you can request.KMZ files for any period of time on any project (or multiple projects!)

Date, Time, and GPS Stamped Photos
Photos taken with Krinkle Spills w/ Surface Sampling® are automatically stamped with the date, time, GPS position, project name, site name, and any other “proof-of-work” or project critical data you require. Incorporating these well-stamped photos into the surface sampling documentation, you give to your clients illustrates that the process was conducted at the right location, during the correct time, and followed a high-quality and rigorous approach. This significantly strengthens their position in a government audit and your position as their “Go-To” service provider. While Krinkle Spills w/ Surface Sampling® can collect your GPS location straight from your mobile device (iOS & Android), it can also allow you to enter external, high precision GPS data for more accurate positioning of your sample points on Google Earth and ESRI.

We know that the information collected within this industry is extremely sensitive, and data security is a top priority. Krinkle Spills w/ Surface Sampling® is exceptionally secure, and our security practices have been implemented and tested for years. For those looking for more technical information, Krinkle uses SSL certificates signed with a 2048-bit RSA and hashed SHA-256. Additionally, Krinkle applications only communicate using newer secure TLS protocols with HSTS and an AES-256 cipher suite. Data is fully encrypted on the local device and in transit to the servers. The servers are protected at Amazon’s secure data centers behind their tightly managed firewalls.
